Forbidden Fruit

By Simon Glass

Forbidden from eating certain foods because of the laws of his religion, a young orthodox boy is tempted by the glossy advertising campaign of a new Burger Franchise

Synopsis:

In the now too distant future where religion still divides and market consumerism conquers, a young boy, brought up in a traditional religious community learns the strict dietary laws of his faith.

Unable to understand why he can eat cows, but not pigs, he is faced with the glossy mass marketing campaign of the newly opened BURGER BRANCH that offers everything he can't have...

A postmodern fable of the Forbidden Fruit and the Tree of Knowledge, EPHRAIM, the young boy is faced with the dilemma of remaining faithful to the holy word or giving into temptation and experiencing pleasures of the forbidden
